My Teacher, My Hero
When I was still in First Year, our adviser once told us, "You are like clays and we are your molders. We mold you to become better people and to serve others in the future." Until now that I am already in 4th Year, I can still remember this statement of hers. Why? Because that was the most meaningful statement that could define a teacher. Without teachers, there will also be no professions. Without professions, this world will also be like iced tea without ice cubes, it will be worthless, useless and plain world. That's why I consider teachers as saviors for a progressive nation, in short, a HERO.
A hero can fly, right? Teachers can’t. Heroes have
superpowers, don’t they? Teachers haven’t. But do heroes impart knowledge? Do
they improve us to become better people? Do they answer our questions? Do they
eventually serve as second parents to us? Don’t be silly. They don’t, Teachers
do. The things they do and the qualities they have are what heroes do and have.
If heroes sacrifice their life for our country, teachers sacrifice their time
and give service that does not depend on their salary. Teachers are doing their
responsibility greatly. They give all the best they have. They are patient,
loving, supportive, honest, kind, great and the best. For me, they are more
than what a hero can be.
For all the teachers in the world, I would like to
congratulate you for a job well done. You have a big contribution on what we
have now. You are behind the success of everything. You are truly worthy of
being called a Hero.
