Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy and English Proficiency

November is known for Halloween during the first and second day. But this month is not only for scary and creepy stuffs. It’s also a month to celebrate and bring back the essence and values of reading and the English language as well. This month, we celebrate the English Month Celebration – a celebration showcasing the abilities of students in writing literary pieces, portraying characters from different books and many others. Without further ado, let me start sharing my insights about the said celebration.

In the world, there are thousands of languages spoken around the world. But, there is that one unique language that unites them all – English. Anyone from different countries are capable of talking and having a conversation as long as they use one language only. In connection with the theme, “Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy and English Proficiency”, I can truly understand the importance of the English language. This language is seen everywhere and is used by almost everyone in the world. Some of the people who mostly use it are the authors, poets, song composers and many others. With the use of the literacy and their English proficiency, they are capable of expressing their thoughts and opinions using their hearts and minds. With these, they are capable of making a literary piece that they can share to the world and be able to embrace the world with only one language to avoid misunderstanding and be able to make out World Peace.

English is the key to everything. What’s left for us to do is to value it by using it. This is necessary, and all things necessary should be treasured the most.
