Modern Day Hero

           Calling everyone who wants to be a hero! Worry no more! You don't need to gather up your weapons and have superpowers. All you need is to have the spirit of nobility, bravery and heroism. It might not be probably lurking on your familiarity and knowledge about the news regarding the heroism of a dog who saved girls who were about to be ran down. Oh, how about the Taxi driver who returned a large amount of money left on his Taxi by a passenger. You had probably read on articles about the OFWs as Modern Day Heroes. Well, we can't judge them for whom they want to consider as heroes because everyone has their own so called "IDOLS" whom they see the qualities of a hero.

           Teachers, yes! They are my Modern Day Heroes, why? Simply because without them, there will also be no professions. Aside from their responsibility of answering our questions and filling the blanks in our knowledge and understanding, they also have a big contribution on the development of our country. They mold our minds and build better people. They sacrifice many things for national improvement. Aside from the subjects that they teach us, they also give us insights about life. Salaries are not the only reasons why they chose to be teachers but the willingness to serve the people who need their service in this generation and to the next ones. One more thing, without them I won't be here writing and expressing my opinions and thoughts. They serve as our second parents, not just educaters but molders not only of our knowledge but also in characteristics and traits.

           You're right, Teachers don't even have swords or pistols. But, they have the knowledge. Knowledge to save the country other than wars. Knowledge to build a nation of unity and cooperation for a brighter future and a knowledge for them to be truly proclaimed as Modern Day heroes.
